Privacy Policy

FilmCan is a local macOS app. It does not require an account and it does not include analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

What FilmCan Processes

• File and folder paths you choose as sources and destinations.
• Drive metadata needed to show capacity and availability.
• Optional log files (if enabled) and hash lists generated on successful transfers when hash verification is enabled.
• Local history of transfers you run.

All of this stays on your device.

What FilmCan Sends Off-Device

Only if you enable it: - Push notifications (ntfy) or webhooks send a message to the endpoint you configure. - The content of those messages is defined by your notification template.

FilmCan does not send files, hashes, or logs to FilmCan servers (there are none).

Storage Locations

FilmCan stores local data such as presets and history in its app support folder. Logs and hash lists are stored in the locations you choose (destinations or custom log folders). You can delete presets and history from within the app, and remove the app support folder to clear local settings.
